New Site Reservations: Coming Soon!


Beginning October 1, 2026, you can make Marin County Parks site reservations on a new online platform: Rec.Us
 

As we make the transition to the new platforms, no reservations will be accepted between September 15 and September 30, 2026. 
 

On October 1, Marin County Parks once again welcomes your reservations for picnic areas, courts, and sports fields.


Site Reservations FAQ

The current online reservation vendor can no longer support Parks reservations. Rec.Us is a mobile-friendly platform that will help streamline reservations for tennis, pickleball, and picnic areas.

Yes, A Rec account gives you many self-service features. You can book instantly, view all your reservations, receive reminders for upcoming reservations, cancel or modify a reservation, and easily view payment receipts. Set up your account at rec.us/organizations/marin-county-parks

Yes! An account owner can add people to their account. Here's a quick video showing how to add or edit household members in your Rec profile.

Instant Book shows available days, times, and pricing for courts and picnic areas, so you can reserve quickly on Rec. Use Instant Book for recreational reservations that are not commercial use or special events.

You manage reservations from your Rec user profile. Sign in to your account, then select "Schedule." For eligible upcoming reservations, you will see a Cancel option. You can also manage a reservation using the Manage Booking button at the bottom of your Rec booking confirmation email.

Court cancellations made three or more days in advance will result in a credit to your Rec account. You can apply this credit to future bookings. Picnic area reservations made 30 or more days in advance will receive a refund to the credit card used for payment.

All paid reservations made prior to September 15 will be blocked out on the Rec.Us calendar, so you will not lose your reservation.

However, when you set up a Rec login, you will not see these reservations under your account history. Only reservations made on Rec will appear in your Rec account.

If you have questions about a future reservation, you can call Parks at (415) 473-6388.. Parks staff will take calls in real time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Voicemails will be returned within two business days.

In general, league, series, and tournament reservation requests are accepted twice a year, in November and January, for the following spring/summer and fall seasons. Field reservation requests for casual games among friends and family can be made 10 days in advance, year-round.

Picnic Area Reservations

Beginning October 1, reserve a picnic area at one of these scenic Marin County parks. Advance reservations are required for groups of 20 or more. Use permits may also be required.

Tennis and Pickleball Court Reservations

Beginning October 1, reserve a tennis or pickleball court at McInnis Park.

  • Make your hourly court reservations online.
  • Two hour reservation limit per day for recreational play.
  • Unreserved courts are first come, first serve. One hour limit if other players are waiting.
  • Court cancellations cannot be refunded. You will receive credit in your Rec account for future reservations.

Instructors, classes, camps, clinics, tournaments, and any other commercial use requires a permit.

Soccer and Softball Field Reservations

  • Visit the Fields Reservation webpage to learn how to request a reservation for soccer or softball at McInnis Park. 
  • In general, league, series, and tournament reservation requests are accepted twice a year, in November and January, for the following spring/summer and fall seasons. 
  • Field reservation requests for casual games among friends and family can be made 10 days in advance.
  • Fields are closed during rainy season. The exact date for closure is based on seasonal weather.

Permits and Special Events

 

PERMITS

  • Any commercial use, including film or photography, requires a permit. 
  • Any group of 20 or more gathering at a park that does not accept online reservations must apply for a group use permit.
  • Any group of 15 or more visiting an open space preserve must also apply in advance for a permit.
  • Professional dog walkers need a permit.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS 

If your event includes any of the following you need to complete a Special Event Application. Begin completing the application 30 days before the date of your event. 

  • Exceeds the capacity of a single group reservation site
  • Makes use of multiple sites in a park at the same time. 
  • Sells tickets, food, beverages, or merchandise; has commercial sales of any kind. 
  • Will have amplified sound of any kind. 
  • Will set up additional amenities outside a reservable site.
